Annual Outing   We have now paid the final payment for our Annual Outing to the Grand Opera House on Friday 6th January 2017. I am sure we will once again have an excellent time. Please ensure all outstanding payments are sent in immediately.


I would like to take this opportunity of welcoming everyone back to a new school year. I trust that those pupils who are new to the school will have an enjoyable, educational time with us.

The new school year started with a welcome to 30 new pupils in Primary 1.


SCHOOL CLOSED Please remember School is closed on Thursday 23rd June 2016 for the European Referendum

EARLY CLOSING Please note the school will close at 12.15 p.m. on Thursday 30th June 2016 for the summer holidays.

SPORTS DAY – Monday 13th June 2016. A separate note will be issued regarding this event.


SCHOOL CLOSURES   Please remember school will be closed on Monday 2nd - Tuesday 3rd, Thursday 5th (Election), Monday 30th - Tuesday 31st May and Thursday 23rd June 2016 (European Referendum).

APRIL 2016

After School Clubs   Please note all After School Clubs finished on Monday 21st April 2016. In the new term clubs will restart on Monday 11th April for Primary 4 – Primary 7 (note to follow). Clubs operating for Primary 1 – Primary 3 this term will be Irish Dancing, Monkeynastix and Football.

MARCH 2016

Congratulations To the Primary 7 pupils on the Transfer Results. We wish all our pupils well as they now prepare to progress on to the next stage of education.

Book Fair Thank you to all who supported the Book Fair. The school was able to receive books to the value of £580.00 divided amongst the various classes.


EARLY CLOSING/PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS Please remember school closes for all pupils at 1.00 p.m. from Monday 1st – Friday 5th February 2016 to accommodate parental interviews. . Dinners will be served as normal. Interviews have been arranged so that teachers will see family members on the same day.


OPERA HOUSE – Friday 8th January 2016 Arrangements for our annual outing to the Opera House are as follows. Those children who are not attending the event will not come to school at all. Children attending, will come to school at 12.15 p.m. and enter by the front door, going straight to the Assembly Hall. Children should wear full school uniform.


DIABETIC UK/STAND BY ME Thank you again to all who supported these charities. A cheque for £231.70 was presented to Diabetic U.K. and a cheque for £316.50 was presented to Stand By Me at two Assembly mornings. SPONSORED BOUNCE Again my sincere thanks for your very kind contributions to our annual bounce. Currently we have raised in excess of £2,600.


Harvest Thank you for all the contributions for this year’s harvest appeal. I have taken all of the donations to representatives of Storehouse and Carrickfergus Foodbank.
