THE CHRISTMAS FACTORY

"The Christmas Factory" was a real hit with Primary 3 and 4 children who enjoyed learning the songs and showing off their acting skills.  Parents and friends were entertained as the children performed the story. 

The Bossy King

Primary 1 and Primary 2 put on a fabulous production of "The Bossy King." They told the story of the birth of Jesus. The children looked amazing in their costumes. The singing was great and the children who told the story had super loud voices! Well done Brooke you were a fantastic Bossy King!!

P2 write to Santa!

P2 are getting extremely excited about Christmas approaching. We are busy rehearsing for our Christmas performance.

On Friday 28th November we wrote our letters to Santa. We all thought of one thing which we really wanted and asked Santa for this. Some of us asked Santa lots of questions, particularly how Santa can get around all the children in just one night!! 

Athletes and Scientists

Focusing on Active Travel and movement with Jonny McCrystal, Wednesday 12thNovember with P7 and 19thNovember with P6.

Children participated in a range of activities, one being a car scenario and the others being fun, engaging and active activities. 

Viking Day

Primary 6 had great fun learning about the Vikings on Viking Day.  Mr Mitchell came in and set the hall up with exciting activities to help us experience life as a Viking.  We played Trip Trap Troll, built a wall, learned about weapons, experienced weaving and handled Viking artefacts.  In the afternoon we were able to take part in a sword drill and we had great fun with that.

10p Tuesday for Stand by Me

On 30th September, all classes participated in 10p Tuesday to raise money for the school we sponsor in Dembi Dollo, Ethiopia. Lots of 10p's were collected and each class put them in a line in the hall. The class with the longest line got a night off homework! P5 won and were delighted!

Sustrans Active School Programme

Eden Primary School are delighted to have been chosen to take part in the Sustrans Active Schools Travel Programme.  Jonny came to assembly and has excited us about how we can get healthier and save the environment through using our bikes, scooters and feet to get to school.  Further work and events that we do with Sustrans will be posted on the website to keep you informed of the

European Day of Languages

Primary 6 went to Belfast Zoo for their school trip.  The children were able to learn more about the rainforest and other habitats through a talk given by one of the zoo education officers.  The children then were able to visit and see many rainforest animals, such as gibbons, bearded dragons, a tarantula, sloths, bats, tropical birds and monkeys of all sorts.  The c

Yesterday we all had a great time on the 'Waste Bus'.  From P1 up to P7 we were all able to learn about waste and the importance of recycling, which links with our ongoing class recycling programme.  We were able to make a variety of things across the classes and the gentleman who spoke to us gave us some interesting facts.  The older children made badges to  prom
