P6 Roman Day

On Wednesday 25th March, primary six arrived to school in style for our Roman Day.  We dressed in our finest Roman clothes, fit for emperors and goddesses.  Our taste buds tingled as we tried lots of Roman foods, including tomatoes, grapes, olives, mackerel, pitta bread and honey.  We then rated what we liked and disliked.  We took part in lots of different activities.

Under the Hawthorn Tree Visit

On Tuesday 21st April, we visited the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum for an 'Under the Hawthorn Tree' themed day. After having our break in the beautiful sunshine, we headed up to our first 'home' where we met the O'Driscoll's landlord who was just getting ready to head back to his WIltshire estate in England.

Spring in Primary 2

In Primary 2 we are learning about Spring. It is lovely that the sun is shining! We went on a walk around our school grounds looking for the different signs of Spring. We enjoyed listening to the birds singing, although our class had to be quiet to ensure we heard them!! We saw the beautiful daffodils and noticed some other flowers were beginning to grow.
