Primary 1 - Elmer Day

 In Primary 1 Miss Reynolds read us a story all about a colourful elephant, 'Elmer'.  We had great fun learning all about the colours and we listened to many different stories all about Elmer!  We had an 'Elmer Day' and sorted our t-shirts into different colour sets.&n

A Good Old Knees Up!

The children in Year Three have been learning about celebrations this term. 'Let's Celebrate' explores children's experiences of celebrations at home, with friends, in school and in the local and wider community. The children are beginning to appreciate and respect the diversity that exists in society and the positive contributions of various cultural and relgious groups.

Stand by Me

On Tuesday 4th October, we had another very successful fundraiser for Stand by Me. We are continuing to support the school in Dembi Dollo, Ethiopia. We collected 10p's for 10p Tuesday. The class which raised the most will get a night off homework as a reward!

Cockroach and Rat in P6!

Today the children in P6 were very excited to have a rainforest talk.  As part of the talk, the children were able to get up close and personal with some creatures, which they wouldn't normally come in contact with.  There was a giant African snail, a Madagascan Hissing Cockroach, a corn snake, a rat and a tarantula.

Barn Owl Project

Today we had the opportunity to go to Eden Allotments with Alison from the local council and Aidan, a bird expert.  We were able to take part in a wildlife hunt around the allotments.  We also were able to secure the roof of a Barn Owl bird box, by hammering nails in, we each got to h

Stand By Me Bun Sale

Thank you to all children and staff for your donations today at our Bun Sale.  We are delighted to announce that we raised £150.00 for our charity Stand By Me.  This money will be used where it is needed in Dembi Dollo.  Well done to the P6 and 7 children for their efforts in baking under the supervision of Mrs Moore.  Thank you to the members of staff and Mrs Dodds

Stand By Me Bun Sale

Exciting times ahead on Friday of this week (10th June).  P6 and 7 have been working hard to bake buns with Mrs Moore while the rest of their classes are on School Tour.  The children have made rice crispie buns, top hats and fairy cakes.  The buns will be sold on Friday after assembly for 30p each.  All money raised will go to support the children in Africa, through
