P1 People Who Help Us

In Primary 1 we have been learning all about People Who Help Us.  During class time we have talked about the Fire Service, the Police Service and the Post Office.  During activity-based learning, we painted fire engines, police cars and much more!  Miss Reynolds had a fire station and police station and we had great fun with it.  Our imaginative area was turned into '

The children in Primary Five are currently very busy with all the preparations for our Key Stage Two show, 'Annie'.  With everyone participating, there has been plenty of time spent learning words, singing songs, acting, getting measured for costumes and trying to remember the mountain of stage directions from Mr.

Grandpa's Piece Tin

Primary four visited the Titanic Centre for an exciting day called "Grandpa's Piece Tin".  We saw a short video about two men who worked in the Shipyard and learned about what life was like for them going to work many years ago.  We also learned what the workers would have had in their 'piece tin' as they went to work as an apprentice in th

P6 Roman Day

On Wednesday 25th March, primary six arrived to school in style for our Roman Day.  We dressed in our finest Roman clothes, fit for emperors and goddesses.  Our taste buds tingled as we tried lots of Roman foods, including tomatoes, grapes, olives, mackerel, pitta bread and honey.  We then rated what we liked and disliked.  We took part in lots of different activities.

Under the Hawthorn Tree Visit

On Tuesday 21st April, we visited the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum for an 'Under the Hawthorn Tree' themed day. After having our break in the beautiful sunshine, we headed up to our first 'home' where we met the O'Driscoll's landlord who was just getting ready to head back to his WIltshire estate in England.

Spring in Primary 2

In Primary 2 we are learning about Spring. It is lovely that the sun is shining! We went on a walk around our school grounds looking for the different signs of Spring. We enjoyed listening to the birds singing, although our class had to be quiet to ensure we heard them!! We saw the beautiful daffodils and noticed some other flowers were beginning to grow.


After School Clubs       Please note all After School Clubs will finish on Friday 27th March 2015.  In the new term Choir will meet on Thursday 16th (which is the first day back to school after Easter), 23rd and 30th April 2015 when it will finish.  Clubs will restart on Monday 20

Pyjama Day 2015

On Friday 13th March 2015, we raised £188.94 for Stand By Me. The School Council agreed that we should come to school in our pyjamas to raise money for the school we sponsor in Ethiopia. Well done everyone for taking part. You looked fabulous!!
