In light of this, our current Primary 1 class will finish at 1.00 p.m. on 16th June 2016 to accommodate this arrangement.

SCHOOL TOUR    Primary 6 and Primary 7 will be travelling to Edinburgh on Monday 6th June returning on Thursday 9th June 2016 for this year’s School Tour. There are 39 pupils and 4 adults travelling. A Tour Meeting will be held on Tuesday 24th May 2016 at 6.45 p.m. in the Assembly Hall when parents will have the opportunity of speaking with teachers who will be travelling with the children on the Tour. Can I take this opportunity of commending the School Tour to next year’s Primary 6 and Primary 7 parents. It is an excellent experience for the children, extremely well supervised, the places visited are both educational and entertaining, and the children learn a level of independence. Details of next year’s tour will be available early September.

SCHOOL TRIPS    Many school trips will be taking place in this the last school term. Can I remind all parents that a child cannot be taken on a trip if a permission slip is not signed. Also permission slips and money should be sent to each child’s teacher and not to the office so that all monies and slips can be accounted for. Thank you for your help in this.

P6 TRANSFER MEETING    I have decided to hold a Transfer Meeting on Tuesday 24th May at 7.15 p.m. immediately after the Tour Meeting. This meeting will give parents an opportunity to discuss with Mr Purdy and myself the transfer procedure for 2016/17. A separate note will be issued to Primary 6.

CLOTHES COLLECTION    Thank you to all who contributed to this. We managed to raise £72.20.
