Primary 6 Roman Day

 On Thursday 24th March, P6 acted as Romans for the day.  The children arrived at school in various costumes with teacher and teaching assistant both in Roman attire.  The P6 classroom was host to a variety of goddesses, soldiers, senators, rich Romans and poor slaves.  After having learned about Roman clothes the children were able to apply this knowledge to the costumes

Primary 6 Visit the Trade Fair at Downshire

On Tuesday 22nd February, Primary 6 children attended a Young Enterprise Trade Fair at Downshire School where they were able to participate in selling and buying goods produced by a variety of local primary schools.

School is Open!

The School is open today (Tuesday 21st) and tomorrow (Wednesday 22nd).

We will be closing today at 2:00 pm for ALL PUPILS and tomorrow as 12:15 pm.

Please note there will be no School Dinners tomorrow.

P6 Science

We were set the challenge to use our scientific knowledge of thee process of digestion to create a piece of art showing all of the important body parts.

Here you can see a group planning well, sharing ideas and listening.

P6 Numeracy

In numeracy we worked together to design a sheet to record body measurements.

We were all required to listen to each other and we wrote down our ideas and decided on the best one.

School Tour

Thank you to all who have already responded to this year’s tour to York. All deposits should be with Mrs Gibson by Friday 1st October 2010 so that final numbers can be confirmed to the Tour Operator.

Annual Outing

We are now ready to pay the final payment for our Annual Outing to the Grand Opera House on Friday 7th January 2011 at 1.30 p.m. Final number will be confirmed to The Opera House on Wednesday 29th September 2010, please ensure all monies are paid by this date.
