Focusing on Active Travel and movement with Jonny McCrystal, Wednesday 12thNovember with P7 and 19thNovember with P6.

Children participated in a range of activities, one being a car scenario and the others being fun, engaging and active activities. 

Viking Day

Primary 6 had great fun learning about the Vikings on Viking Day.  Mr Mitchell came in and set the hall up with exciting activities to help us experience life as a Viking.  We played Trip Trap Troll, built a wall, learned about weapons, experienced weaving and handled Viking artefacts.  In the afternoon we were able to take part in a sword drill and we had great fun with that.

10p Tuesday for Stand by Me

On 30th September, all classes participated in 10p Tuesday to raise money for the school we sponsor in Dembi Dollo, Ethiopia. Lots of 10p's were collected and each class put them in a line in the hall. The class with the longest line got a night off homework! P5 won and were delighted!

European Day of Languages

We all went to the Zoo

Primary 6 went to Belfast Zoo for their school trip.  The children were able to learn more about the rainforest and other habitats through a talk given by one of the zoo education officers.  The children then were able to visit and see many rainforest animals, such as gibbons, bearded dragons, a tarantula, sloths, bats, tropical birds and monkeys of all sorts.  The c

Pyjama Day!

The children in the School Council organised a pyjama day on Friday 23rd May, to raise money for our charity Stand by Me. A total of £240 was raised. Thank you to all who wore their pyjamas and contributed to this worthwhile cause. Well done also to the School Council!!

The Romans Have Landed!

Before Easter, Eden Primary School was invaded by the Romans.  Our P6 class dressed up in Roman day costumes and arrived into school as senators, Caesars, rich Roman ladies, rich men, slaves, soldiers and gladiators.  The children had a fun packed day with opportunities to taste Roman food, learn Latin, count using Roman numerals, march as soldiers, make Roman robe clasps and parti

Trade Fair

P6 would like to thank Downshire Primary School for hosting  a Trade Fair in conjunction with 'Our World' Programme.  The children worked for a number of weeks with sixth year students participating in the Young Enterprise Scheme.  The children learned about importing and exporting and how countries need each other to trade with.  Children were able to learn

The Water Bus

A much overdue update of the visit of the Water Bus.  Children in key stage 2 were able to take part in lessons on The Water Bus.  Linking with our new Eco-schools topic the children were able to learn about water and how we use it, waste it and how we can use it most efficiently.  T
