Stand By Me Bun Sale

Exciting times ahead on Friday of this week (10th June).  P6 and 7 have been working hard to bake buns with Mrs Moore while the rest of their classes are on School Tour.  The children have made rice crispie buns, top hats and fairy cakes.  The buns will be sold on Friday after assembly for 30p each.  All money raised will go to support the children in Africa, through

Walk to School Week

Congratulations to all classes for their great results over Walk to School Week.

P1 42% of children walked to school

P2 55% of children walked to school

Walk to School Week

Well today was the last day of our Walk to School Week in association with Travelwise NI.  Thank you to all parents for encouraging and allowing your children to walk from home or complete a Combo Journey.  Prize winners will be announced next week. 

Walk to School Week

Walk to School Week is well underway.  In association with Travelwise NI the children are being encouraged to walk to school as much as they can this week and there will be prizes and certificates awarded at the end of the the challenge.  Children have the oportunity to win one of 6 'travelwise slap bands' in P1 and 2.  In P3-P7 there is the opportunity to win one

The Big Pedal

A massive thank you and congratulations to all who took part in The Big Pedal Challenge today.  Can you believe that over half of our school were able to cycle or scoot to school?  Thank you as well to the 19 parents who cycled to school and those who walked with their children who were taking part in the challenge.

Stand by Me

On Wednesday 23rd March we held a fundraising day for our charity "Stand by Me." The school council agreed that it should be a "Wacky Day!" Children came dressed in a variety of costumes, some had their clothes on back to front and there was a great variety of wacky hairstyles!

Active Superheroes!!!

Congratulations to all 42 children who completed their active superhero challenge sheets over the last few weeks.  Certificates for completed sheets were given to all children and it was great to see the number of active travellers that we have in school.

Stand By Me

Today was a very exciting day for P5, 6 and 7.  Johnny from Stand By Me came into each of our classes.  P5 were able to learn about filtering water in countries where water is not clean like ours.  In other countries some children have to walk miles to get water for their families, others have a pump in their village which they can use and others are provided filter systems li

Life in Mesolithic and Neolithic Ireland was very different to ours so rather than simply look at pictures on the Interactive Whiteboard or in books, we got to be archaeologists for a whole day at the end of November so that we could learn more about this period of time!
